At The Learning Center, we firmly believe that every child has a fundamental right to education and should be granted the opportunity to attain an acceptable level of learning. We understand that each child possesses unique characteristics, abilities, interests and learning requirements, which is why all of our tutors are fully qualified to provide academic support to any child with physical or cognitive disabilities.
Our staff at The Learning Center will work closely with both the student and their parents to observe, evaluate, and assess their needs. During the assessment process, our tutors will uncover the unique learning style of the student. This will enable The Learning Center to determine the tutoring techniques that will work best for each student. Once a thorough assessment has been executed, our tutors will develop an individualized education plan (IEP).
An IEP is a strategic planning tool that is intended to help students identify and achieve educational goals. The Learning Center strongly believes that there is no “on size fits all” approach to learning. Since every student has different educational needs, these needs must be differently addressed. Progress will be closely monitored by The Learning Center, and our tutors will adjust IEPs according to the learning pace of the student.
